Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.Roles:Design and implement complex emissions and certification test systemsIntegrate subsystems and lead system commissioning activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issuesServe as a technical leader on-site, driving projects through to successful completionPartner closely with Project Managers to manage timelines and budgetsBuild strong customer relationships through clear communication and exceptional serviceAct as liaison and company representative with customers.Commission test systems including:Setup and troubleshoot test and measurement systemsImplement and tune complex control loopsIntegrate auxiliary equipment into test systemsSetup monitoring and control of relevant safetiesCreate commissioning documentationProvide training on system applicationsObtain customer sign-offWrite and implement complex custom testsProvide sales technical support.Provide project engineering technical support.Help desk consultation.Develop and present advanced training.Technical research.Other tasks as assigned Qualifications/Skills:5-7+ years of relevant experience in emissions systems, regulations, testing, and commissioningStrong background in the automotive industryDeep technical expertise and a passion for emissions and regulatory complianceProven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsBachelors' degree in engineering or equivalentMaster's degree in engineering or equivalent preferredProficient in mechanical and electrical assemblyProficient in vibration analysis and torsional vibration analysisExperience in test automation equipment preferredIn depth understanding of electrical and mechanical processesExpertise related to testing methods and applicationsAble to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and drawingsStrong software adaption and modification skills preferredBackground in vehicle emissions equipmentExperience with programming or testing of vehicle or engine emissions.Understanding of instrumentation and electrical processesMust possess excellent written and oral communication skillsThorough knowledge of PC operation, structure, MS Windows, and computer networking requiredWe look forward to receiving your details; please use our online application form or send your application to AVL North America, Inc. / AVL Test Systems, Inc. / AVL Mobility Technologies, Inc.
