The role will improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and fixture development. The Manufacturing Engineer Senior will develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching and improving existing prints, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, as well as other manufacturing responsibilities. The Manufacturing Engineer Senior will serve as the subject matter expert (SME), able to train and lead a team of engineers within a complex program. As a Manufacturing Engineer Senior, you will:Provide manufacturing feasibility assessments for capacity requirements, product design,engineering changes, scope changes and quality concernsDevelop process flow and line layout requirementsDevelop and implement effective work InstructionDefine capital equipment and tooling required and maintain adherence to the budget of theprogramProject manage the procurement and acceptance of required equipment & toolingProject Manage the ME requirements of the Product Development and Launch ProcessesFacilitate the implementation of production equipment and tooling into the manufacturingfacility and any corresponding technical trainingAssess the product, process, equipment and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concernsand manage action items to resolveProvide coaching and assistance to entry level mechanical engineers while acting as a SME andprovide training and guidanceLead special projects and/or continuous improvement activitiesTo be considered as a Manufacturing Engineer Senior, you will need:Must qualify as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to accommodate International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance (Defense)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, emphasis in manufacturing, weldingand or assembly processesMinimum of 4 years of experience in a production-based environmentGood driving record.
