Job Title: Traveling Automation Technician -$40/Hour + Per Diem

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Automation Technicians to support nationwide travel-based installation and retrofit projects. This role focuses on upgrading and modifying existing facilities, including wall retrofits, camera and vision system installations, and electrical power distribution. Candidates should be comfortable working in active job sites and adapting to evolving project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Perform retrofit installations including wall modifications, mounting structures, and system upgrades.
• Install and configure camera and vision systems, including alignment, calibration, and testing.
• Complete electrical installations including conduit, cable tray, and power drops.
• Run low voltage and control wiring for automation and monitoring systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation components including sensors, power supplies, and communication systems.
• Assist with system startup, testing, and commissioning to ensure proper functionality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and site layout drawings.
• Work closely with project teams to complete installations on schedule in fast-paced environments.
• Maintain adherence to safety standards and job site requirements.
• Travel to project locations for extended durations as required.

Essential Skills

• Experience with camera systems, security/vision systems, or structured cabling preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and low voltage installation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently (nationwide projects).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with NEC standards and job site safety practices.
• Experience working in distribution centers, warehouses, or industrial environments.

Work Environment

Work within Amazon buildings, primarily on the day shift, averaging 40-45 hours a week. Some weekend work may be required depending on the job schedule.

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Atlanta,GA.
