Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: anticipating and accommodating the needs of the guests in a timely manner; providing professional and exceptional service; helping to ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests; maintaining general cleanliness of bar, bar area, and the entire venue; following supervisor's instructions, communicating with and supporting co-workers while being a team player; possessing general knowledge of all food and beverage menus; complying with Department of Health and company sanitation standards; working as part of a team and providing help and support to all fellow team members; assisting bartenders by restocking, cleaning, and supporting service needs to ensure fast, high-quality bar operations; communicating the needs of the guests to front-of-house and heart-of-house support staff, managers, and chefs; properly setting up the bar stations, performing side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including making sure the bar and bar area is clean and free of debris, setting bar with proper equipment and settings as required, wiping down bar-top, bar stools, lounge tables, and chairs, stocking bar stations with prescribed supplies, preparing various types of garnishes for beverages and cocktails, completing opening duties as assigned or directed, completing closing duties as assigned or directed, responsible for emptying the trash from behind the bar and disposing of it correctly, responsible for keeping clean and organized to company standard all back-of-house storage and refrigeration, responsible for keeping all liquor displays and shelving organized and maintaining par levels, responsible for reporting all breakage, and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management, attending and participating in daily pre-service meetings, attending and participating in any training sessions or departmental meetings, learning by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example, portraying a positive and professional attitude, demonstrating knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments, and assisting and/or completing additional tasks as assigned.

Training requirements include Tao Group Hospitality in-venue barback training. Education/working knowledge includes a minimum of 1-year previous barback experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience and previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge.

Skills/physical demands/work environment/schedule: Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate; must have good positive energy throughout the day; must be able to print legibly for team members, management, and guests to read; must be able to stand for extended periods of time; must be able to move quickly; must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance; work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume; may work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required; exposure to cleaning materials; office, casino, nightclub, bar, lounge, and/or restaurant working environment; maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards; must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
