Responsibilities

• Provide basic and critical respiratory care services to adult and geriatric patients per physician orders and department policy
• Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy, manage ventilated patients, and perform arterial blood gas sampling per policy
• Document care in the electronic medical record, complete flow sheets, and process charges for each patient
• Assist in department training and supervision of new staff as delegated; monitor and maintain equipment
• Collaborate with nursing and medical teams to assess patient status and adjust therapy as needed; ensure patient safety and infection control

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
• Licenses/Certifications: NBRC-registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or NBRC-Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Additional certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required at time of hire or within 90 days, per policy
• Licensure/credentialing: Preferred Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license; current credentialing appropriate to the state of assignment
• Experience: At least two years of recent respiratory therapy experience; current Epic EMR experience preferred or required
• Ability to work the listed day shift in the specified setting and maintain safe, high-quality patient care
