About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Project Development to spearhead the creation of a low-carbon power data center infrastructure platform. This role is pivotal in the company's mission to deliver gigawatt-scale infrastructure opportunities, particularly in the context of the AI industry's demand for power. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project development, from origination to Final Investment Decision, and will play a key role in shaping the long-term infrastructure strategy. The role is highly relationship-driven, and the VP will be expected to leverage an established executive network to drive the company's project origination strategy. Key responsibilities include driving new low-carbon power projects, developing strategic partnerships, and leading a cross-functional team to ensure the technical and commercial success of the projects. Applicants for the Vice President of Project Development position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of relevant experience in power, energy infrastructure, or digital infrastructure, with a proven track record of taking projects from inception to FID. The role requires a leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial, financial, and engineering fluency, and the ability to build and run a development team. Experience in developing utility-scale power infrastructure is essential, and a background in supporting hyperscale data centers is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the project development process, including interconnection, permitting, and site development, and will be adept at contributing to and negotiating with sophisticated counterparties.
