About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred, first-timers accepted License: Required South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license Certifications: BLS, Clienttion Badge Must-Have: - Required experience in scrub role preferred - Willing to float within scope to meet facility needs - Ability to work on-call, including up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks - Willingness to work up to one weekend shift every 4 weeks - Availability to work during at least one holiday period Description: The position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The nurse will be responsible for both scrubbing and circulating surgical procedures. The work environment is a busy and dynamic setting within a level-one academic trauma center. The department covers a variety of surgical specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. The nursing teams consist of predominantly Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists. This is a Magnet-designated department that provides advanced technology. The nursing staff are trained in various surgical roles to ensure comprehensive patient care. Emergency response assignments may be required during hurricane season. Travelers should complete all compliance processes on time before the start date. RTO must be submitted with the application for consideration. Local candidates will be considered based on specific criteria.
