IT Business Management Analyst - Hybrid Telework

Job Description and Duties

Under the general supervision of the IT Supervisor II, the Information Technology Associate works to provide a wide variety of tasks requiring occasional innovative problem-solving within guidelines and a scope that may encompass one or more functions or processes.

The primary duties of the IT Associate lie within the Business Technology Management domain of the IT Associate classification. This includes elements such as: IT policy and program development, IT portfolio management, IT procurement, process reengineering, business analysis, research and development, strategic planning, product and/or delivery strategy. This position required advanced Microsoft Excel experience.

Working Conditions

• This position reports to the Allenby Building in Sacramento County and may be eligible and considered for a telework opportunity in accordance with departmental policies, operational needs, and management approval. Employees are currently required to work in-person at least four (4) days per week in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25. Additional in-office days may be required based on operational needs. The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice
• DSH-Sacramento is located at an 11 floor high rise building.
• The State’s Commute Programs provide bicycle, mass transit and vanpool incentives to eligible state employees. The State’s mass transit incentive pays 100% of the transit pass up to the IRS maximum of $340 per month in 2026

Statement of Qualifications

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and must be submitted along with your State application. The SOQ consists of questions that must specifically be addressed and submitted with an application. Resumes and cover letters DO NOT take the place of the SOQ. Explain the measurable outcomes or results of the assignment, and identify at least one technical or professional skill you developed that you now apply in your current job.
2. Describe your experience implementing new policies or standards with no guidance. Provide an example and your role, and what was the outcome?
3. Describe your level of Microsoft Excel experience. What is your most complex task you used Excel to complete
