HVAC Technician

Where is the work? Field-based: Work is conducted on-site at customer locations. What’s in it for you? This role is the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. The position offers the opportunity to work with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing retrofits. What you will do Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work. Represent the company as the direct customer contact, responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at the customer’s location. Use cutting‑edge software and technology, along with hand‑tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units. Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays. Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company‑issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions. What you will bring A high school diploma or equivalent. Typically 5+ years of experience in HVAC. Technical school or formal training preferred. Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad). Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations in the last 3 years. EPA Universal certification. Compensation Annual Base Salary Range (hourly): $26.64 – $40.34. Compensation Type: Hourly.
