Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, and central line management.

Required Credentials: ASN / BSN

Unit Details: Stroke, respiratory illnesses including Flu/Pneumonia/COVID, renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds. RN ratios 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. CNA ratio 1:10. CNA support for ADLs, mobility, and feeding. No HUC. Charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment. Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, telemetry monitoring/tech, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, and intensivist 24/7. VNO (virtual nursing - 10 cameras); virtual RNs can act as 2nd RN witness for certain meds, closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, and assist with Admission/Discharge items. Free Parking.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Special Requests: RTO can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Floating Requirements: Float within Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH) as needed, within scope of practice.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
