Role Description Grossmont Gardens Senior Living is seeking an experienced and collaborative Assisted Living Administrator to join our leadership team. This full-time, on-site position is responsible for leading the Assisted Living operations within our full-service senior living campus. While Grossmont Gardens offers a complete continuum of care—from Independent Living through Skilled Nursing—this role is focused on overseeing our Assisted Living neighborhood while partnering closely with the Executive Director and an experienced, multidisciplinary leadership team. Our community serves a diverse resident population, including both private-pay residents and individuals participating in California public payer programs such as the Assisted Living Waiver (ALW), PACE, CalAIM, and Medi-Cal. Experience working with these programs is highly desirable. The Assisted Living Administrator is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, quality resident care, employee engagement, and an exceptional experience for residents and their families. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, supporting hiring and staff development, maintaining compliance with California RCFE regulations, monitoring quality and safety initiatives, collaborating with clinical and operational departments, and fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the Assisted Living neighborhood within the full-service campus. Partner with the Executive Director and multidisciplinary leadership team to align operations with the overall continuum of care. Ensure regulatory compliance with California RCFE regulations and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Monitor quality and safety initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Support hiring, staff development, coaching, performance management, and employee engagement. Collaborate with clinical and operational departments to deliver exceptional resident experiences for residents and families. Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture. Qualifications Minimum of three years of leadership experience in Assisted Living, Senior Living, Skilled Nursing, or a related healthcare environment. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Gerontology, or a related field preferred. Thorough knowledge of California RCFE regulations and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Demonstrated leadership experience with staff supervision, coaching, performance management, and employee development. Strong operational, organizational, financial, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a resident- and family-centered approach. Experience maintaining regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational excellence. Knowledge of California Assisted Living Waiver (ALW), PACE, CalAIM, and Medi-Cal payer programs is highly desirable. Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments while promoting a positive, accountable workplace culture. Commitment to delivering exceptional resident experiences while fostering a culture of compassion, dignity, and respect.
