Civil or Mechanical Engineer - Entry Level

Opportunity Overview Farnsworth Group is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer who will work with experienced engineers on telecommunications and utility projects. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the utility engineering industry. Location Lisle, IL Posting Locations Frisco, TX Lisle, IL St. Louis, MO What You’ll Do Support telecommunication and utility related project development. Complete site visits, including surveying, locating, and documenting existing conditions (may include overnight travel). Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities. Design telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software. What You’ll Need B.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution. 0-3 years of experience. Exposure to transportation plans, telecommunications, or utilities is a plus. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is a plus. Computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project. Strong written and oral communication skills. Willingness to travel and possession of a valid driver’s license. Nice to Haves Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
