Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required. Flexible scheduling across all Emergency Department sections to meet department needs. No floating outside of the ED.

• 101-bed Emergency Department with high patient volume exceeding 100,000 annual visits
• Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center serving as the regional referral center
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical cases; dedicated techs, unit clerks, and support staff available
• Cerner EMR system with Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment

• Serves a diverse, multi-cultural community with over 120 languages represented locally

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Level II Trauma Center and high-volume ED experience (100,000+ visits annually) required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work in all areas of the Emergency Department with flexibility and teamwork mentality
