Responsibilities Responsible for efficient communication and activities related to the transcription and processing of physicians orders, maintenance of the medical record of the chart and receptionist functions. Key functions of communication include written, computer, telephone, verbal and fax transmission. Performs patient/customer relation and receptionist roles in manner consistent with Raritan Bay Medical Centers Pride in Caring program. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Successful completion of unit assistant course and/or training program, including medical terminology and computer skills Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred Previous clerical experience and medical terminology preferred. Computer skills and exposure to health care setting preferred.
