Lead Infrastructure Engineer - PKI - Plano

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need proven experience with ADCS, EJBCA, and HSMs such as Safenet or Gemalto.
• We look for deep expertise in one or more infrastructure engineering domains, including hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
• We require hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation, with the ability to critically review, validate, and refine AI-generated output for correctness, performance, and security.
• We need a strong understanding of responsible AI usage in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
• We expect demonstrated use of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• We need the ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalate when unsure, and ensure outcomes align with resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
• We require deep knowledge of one infrastructure technology and scripting languages.
• We require deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate across and migrate between public and private clouds.
• Experience with EJBCA and DCLM solutions such as Keyfactor or Venafi is preferred.

• We apply technical expertise and problem-solving methods to moderate-scope projects, delivering creative solutions for design, development, and troubleshooting.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, while validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• We leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex work, including code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, and documentation, while validating results through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• We apply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation.
• We drive a workstream or project spanning one or more infrastructure engineering technologies and collaborate across platforms to implement changes that resolve issues and modernize processes.
• We evaluate upstream and downstream data, systems, and technical impacts, then advise on mitigation actions.
• We use reuse-first, AI-assisted delivery and automation practices to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable, auditable, and aligned with resiliency and security expectations.
• We automate PKI processes, including certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation.
• We safeguard the security and integrity of TLS certificates and cryptographic operations.
• We monitor and improve PKI system performance, availability, and resilience.
