You will support the Department by utilizing your expertise to fulfill the following responsibilities:Develop partnerships with faith-based communities, schools, work sites and the community at large and assist these groups with developing health promotion programsPrepare and disseminate educational and informational materialsPromote health discussions within schools, industry, and community agenciesTeach groups and/or individuals on health education/promotion topicsProvide information to the public regarding health concerns and resources.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral, or biological sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Public Health from an accredited college or university, preferred. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, such as oral presentations, written reports, articles, and data entry. Must be able to establish effective working relationships with internal and external partners, coalitions, and stakeholders. Knowledgeable in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD).
