Bookkeeper

NOLA Build & Design, a design-build firm based in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking a detail-driven Bookkeeper to own our day-to-day transactional accounting. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in clean books and doesn't let a reconciliation go unexplained. What you'll do: Process recurring bills, vendor invoices, and subcontractor payments; code AP/AR in QuickBooks Online and BuilderTrend Support AIA billing and progress payment entry Perform monthly bank, credit card, and petty cash reconciliations Process payroll submissions, validate timecards, and track PTO Prepare and file routine tax filings and support 1099 issuance Track renewal deadlines for business and contractor licenses What we're looking for: 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in construction or project-based environments Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations) Solid grasp of GAAP, job costing, and reconciliation practices Nice to have: Associate's/Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CB/CPB credential, or BuilderTrend/Gusto experience Details: Full-Time | On-Site | Non-Exempt (Hourly) | $25–$33/hour Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, PTO + 7 paid holidays, 401(k) with 4% match after one year, professional development stipend, and an Employee Assistance Program. #J-18808-Ljbffr
