EHR Enterprise Business Analyst

Job Summary:

The IT EHR Enterprise Business Analyst 3 is responsible for analyzing and supporting electronic health record (EHR) and practice management systems within a healthcare setting. This role involves collaborating with clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure system functionality, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. The analyst supports system integration, troubleshooting, updates, and user training to optimize clinical workflows and data security. Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer business needs and participate in planning, design, and implementation of EHR and related systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure HL7 standards integration and system support.
• Manage and maintain EHR and practice management systems for optimal and secure operation.
• Gather, document, and communicate business requirements with stakeholders including clinical and technical staff.
• Provide ongoing system support including updates, troubleshooting, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant data accuracy and security.
• Coordinate with developers and administrators to resolve technical issues and improve platform performance.
• Perform regular system maintenance such as updates, patches, and backups.
• Provide technical support to end-users and liaise with vendor support teams as needed.
• Assist with training programs for clinic staff to enhance EHR system utilization.
• Analyze clinical workflows to identify opportunities for system optimization.
• Generate and analyze reports to support clinical and administrative decision-making.
• Deliver advanced Windows troubleshooting and support for software and cloud platforms.
• Create detailed JIRA tickets for developers and administrators to track issues and enhancements.
• Ensure IT systems and data security in accordance with best practices and policies.
• Utilize tools such as REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger for testing and documentation.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years supporting EHR and Practice Management systems in a healthcare or medical clinic environment.
• Experience with system implementation, configuration, and support.
• Proficiency with HL7 standards and IT security best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Proficiency with ticketing systems like JIRA and Ivanti for issue tracking and management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with networking installation, configuration, and management.
• Experience working in hospital IT or similarly complex healthcare IT environments.
• Familiarity with IT security tools and protocols.
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Experience using tools such as REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger for testing and documentation.
• Ability to proactively adapt and solve problems in dynamic environments.

Special Considerations:

• Must agree to absence policies requiring advance approval for absences longer than two weeks.
• Availability to work on-call or during off-hours to support hospital IT operations.
• Must comply with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations regarding data security.
• Hybrid work option with requirement to report onsite as directed by client.
• Engagement contingent upon customer renewal and funding availability.
• Candidate must be able to start within 10 business days of selection.

• Standard work schedule with potential for on-call or off-hours support as needed.
• Hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence required as directed.
• Engagement duration from October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027.
