Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Type: Temporary Project (4-6 weeks) with strong potential to transition to other departments/roles upon completion!

Job Description

Are you looking for a reliable 1st shift schedule with a great hourly wage? PrideStaff is seeking motivated Warehouse Associates for an immediate 4-to-6-week project in Elwood. While this starts as a temporary assignment, it's a fantastic foot in the door-reliable workers will have the opportunity to transition into other departments and long-term roles once the project wraps up!

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting & Picking: Accurately pick products using order sheets or RF scanners, and sort items efficiently into designated bins or staging areas.
• Heavy Lifting & Material Handling: Safely lift, stack, and move products weighing up to 50 lbs manually throughout the shift.
• Quality Control: Visually inspect products and packaging during the picking process to ensure there are no defects or damages before staging.
• Palletizing & Staging: Stack sorted products onto pallets securely, wrapping them as needed, and prep them for inventory placement or shipment.
• Inventory Accuracy: Help maintain accurate inventory counts by reporting any discrepancies, missing items, or low stock to the supervisor.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work zones, aisles, and packing areas clean, organized, and free of debris (breaking down boxes, sweeping) to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be able to comfortably and repetitively lift up to 50 lbs .
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach continuously for an 8-hour shift.
• Prior experience with RF scanners or basic warehouse picking is a plus, but not required.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for the Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM shift.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work hard through the duration of the project.

Strict Dress Code Policy

For safety and operational standards, all candidates must adhere to the following dress code:

• Footwear: Steel-toe shoes are strictly required.
• Tops: No sweaters and no hoodies (nothing with a hood).
• Bottoms: Shorts are permitted, but they must be knee-length and made of denim/jean material only.
