General Worker
Location: Livonia, MI
Type of Work: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Shift: Day shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
Main Purpose and Function
We are looking for responsible and dedicated general workers to support daily operations in a fast-paced food production environment. This position is essential for maintaining product quality, efficiency, and food safety standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Pack, label, and prepare meat products according to specifications
- Load and unload products on production lines safely and efficiently
- Inspect, sort, and weigh products to ensure quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper waste disposal
- Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Assist in basic equipment operation as needed
- Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks at the end of the shift
- Support colleagues and supervisors with other assigned tasks
Skills and Requirements
- Entry-level position – no experience required (training provided)
- Ability to work in a cold, fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Punctuality and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team with a positive attitude
- Bilingual or fluent in Spanish required
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods
- Lift 40 to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working in refrigerated temperatures
Work Environment
- Cold storage/meat processing facility (35–45°F)
- Exposure to raw meat, production machinery, and cleaning products
- Dynamic production environment focused on teamwork
