DAMIAN FAMILY CARE CENTERS, INC. POSITION DESCRIPTION Title: Pediatric Dentist Reports To: Pediatric Dental Director Effective Date: June 2025 Revision and Review Dates: June 2025 Page 1 of 1 Overview: Conduct comprehensive dental exams and treatments to pediatric patients.


Responsibilities: • Diagnose and treat oral disease. • Interpret x-rays and other diagnostic tests. • Formulate treatment plans to restore oral health of patients including healthy patients and those with special health care needs. • Monitor growth and development of all teeth and jaws. • Educate children and their parents/guardian on oral hygiene and preventive care. • Perform essential procedures to include fillings, extractions and crowns. • Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry and, in collaboration with the pediatric dental director and director of dental services, implement best practices. • Will meet all organizational requirements for mandatory education at the time of employment and annually, thereafter. • Maintain accurate records and ensure HIPAA compliance. • Work collaboratively with a dedicated dental team to provide top-tier care. • Utilize organizational skills to manage appointments and treatment plans efficiently.


Requirements

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets Required: • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) Degree. • Board Certified or eligible in Pediatric Dentistry, or certified Pediatric Dentist. • NYS license to practice dentistry; current and valid NYS registration in dentistry. • Current and valid BLS from the American Heart Association. • Strong knowledge of pediatric dental procedures and practices. • Proficient in dental software and technology and electronic medical records. • Excellent communication skills including interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
