The Prince George's County Department of Public Works & Transportation (DPW&T) is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Clean Energy Manager ( Planner 4G ) grade G27 position in the Office of Transportation

About the Position

The County is conducting a national search for a senior-level Planner IV / ZEB Project Manager to lead one of the region's most ambitious transit electrification and facility resilience initiatives. This role will drive the transition to 75% zero-emission bus fleet by 2030 and 100% zero emission bus fleet by 2045. The selected candidate will serve as the Agency's senior subject matter expert for fleet electrification, charging infrastructure deployment, facility resilience, and clean energy integration across transit operations. This is a high-impact leadership position for a professional who has successfully delivered complex, capital-intensive infrastructure programs and understands the operational realities of public transit systems. This is not a policy role. It is an execution role. Prince George's County is committed to measurable progress, operational reliability, and long-term resilience in the face of climate and grid challenges. The Clean Energy Project Manager will be the central to delivering the transformation. If you have led complex electrification or infrastructure modernization efforts and are ready to shape a transit system at scale, we invite you to apply.

About the Agency

DPW&T's workforce keeps the County's various services moving by performing a myriad of activities which include removing snow and ice from County-maintained roadways, upgrading traffic signals, installing streetlights, clearing fallen trees, unclogging drainage inlets and maintaining stormwater management facilities, as well as performing roadway repairs ranging from potholes and sidewalk trip hazards to bridge repairs and resurfacing projects and more.

  • Develop data-driven performance evaluation frameworks
  • Provide executive briefings and represent the County in high-level stakeholder settings
Qualifications
