Parts Counterperson
Hawk Ford of Carol Stream is a dynamic and rapidly growing automotive group with multiple dealership locations across Illinois. As a trusted name in the industry, we are committed to excellence in every aspect of our operations, from sales and service to customer satisfaction and community engagement. Our Large Auto Dealership is looking for a Parts Counterperson; this is a union position. MONTHLY BONUSES AVAILABLE BASED ON PERFORMANCE AFTER 3 MONTHS OF SERVICE.
Core Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet, assist, and sell parts to retail customers, service technicians, and wholesale accounts (phone/in-person).
- Parts Management: Look up parts in electronic catalogs, manage inventory (stocking, receiving, returns), and handle special orders.
- Sales & Billing: Process sales, ensure correct billing for service orders, and meet sales goals.
- Communication: Update customers on order status and coordinate with shop foremen/service advisors.
Experience Requirements
- 1 year minimum experience in a parts department setting
- Needs to have the ability to work Tue-Thu 9am-6pm, Friday 8am-5pm, Sat 8am-4:30pm
- CDK background is a plus
- General Motors' experience is helpful
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
