The Ginna's Cafe Associate provides world-class customer service. This position is responsible for providing quality food and beverage products while representing Scheels as a friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable professional to all customers and fellow associates.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare different types of food, drinks, and ingredients, including candy, baked goods, and fudge, for sale to customers
• Perform all Barista, Caf, and Fuzziwigs Candy Shop functions, which may include sandwich line, food case, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned by the Caf Manager and Supervisor
• Maintain working knowledge of Caf recipes, beverages, and prepared foods
• Meet deadlines for fudge production and customer requests
• Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances
• Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
• Ensure Scheels Cashier Guidelines are followed as it pertains to Caf registers
• Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, including machines and equipment, and opening and closing procedures
• Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including dining areas
• Must be able to perform repetitive fudge production processes, which include stirring, pulling, and cutting
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education & Experience:

High school education, or up to one month of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Please be aware that our food may contain or come in contact with common allergens such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and other potential allergens.

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Compensation/Schedule:

Compensation for this position starts at $20.00 hourly. Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 8:30am-9:00pm Monday through Saturday and 10:00am-6:00pm Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, holidays. Average hours per week is 42 hours. Typical schedule includes a set day off during the week, a set night to close during the week and every other weekend rotation.
