Description of Responsibilities
  • Conduct an array of ultrasound exams, which include abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout all procedures, with clarity and compassion in your explanations
  • Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to produce top-notch diagnostic images
  • Maintain and operate imaging equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues that arise
  • Keep accurate records of procedures and maintain comprehensive patient documentation in the electronic medical record system
  • Stay informed on advancements in ultrasound techniques and industry best practices
Education Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
  • Preference for candidates who have completed a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required
  • Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or its equivalent
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
  • Strong technical skills in sonography and patient positioning
