Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse

Job Description The Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering specialized nursing care to patients requiring extended medical attention across multiple units. Reporting directly to the Nurse Manager, this position involves comprehensive patient monitoring, medication management, and wound care, alongside coordinating care plans to promote patient recovery and well-being. 13 Week Contract with the option to extend Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Weekend: Every Other Charting: Epic - Required The unit has both dementia/autistic and acute patients Floating is required - between various like units, within skill set! Responsibilities Monitor patient conditions and vital signs across multiple units Manage and administer medications safely and accurately Perform wound care and oversee infection control measures Develop and implement individualized care plans Provide IV therapy and conduct thorough patient assessments Maintain detailed and accurate documentation Educate patients about their conditions and treatments Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Proficient in patient assessment, wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration Knowledgeable in infection control and electronic health records (EHR) Strong critical thinking, communication, and team collaboration skills Effective time management abilities Company Description We have been in the industry for over 30 years, understand the challenges and felt the need to offer a higher service than the rest!
