Positions to Be Filled 33 positions across the above locations, including: Carpenter Carpenter Shop Supervisor Structural Carpenter Supervisor Carpenter Lead Hand Conditions of Employment Reliability status required; Security clearance & Secret clearance required. Must hold a valid occupational license or certification for the position. Willing and able to work overtime and on-call schedules. Willing and able to work in extreme weather conditions. Willing and able to travel. Must possess a valid DND 404 driver’s license and a valid provincial or territorial driver’s license. Essential Occupational Certification Possession of a valid provincial or territorial journeyperson certificate of qualification as a carpenter or carpenter‑joiner; or Possession of a valid certificate accepted by the governing body as an equivalent; or Possession of a valid Technical Qualification Level (QL) 5 or Developmental Period (DP) 2 in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in a carpentry‑joiner related trade. Essential Experience Experience working as a carpenter or carpenter‑joiner in a maintenance or construction environment. Essential Competencies Communication. Demonstrating integrity and respect. Working effectively with others. Language Requirements English or French required. Essential bilingual (English/French) or bilingual imperative levels (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC). Asset Qualifications – Occupational Certification Valid Red Seal designation in carpentry or joinery. Confined Space Entry Training. Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Operation Certification. Fall Arrest Training. Lockout Tagout Training. Power Tool and Equipment Safety Training. Standard First Aid Certification. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Training. Working at Heights Certification. Asset Qualifications – Experience Experience supervising employees as part of regular duties. Experience collaborating with diverse trades and professionals.
