- Conducting thorough patient evaluations, prescribing relevant diagnostic tests, and developing customized treatment plans
- Diagnosing and addressing acute, short-term, or chronic conditions, whether in partnership with doctors or independently (per your qualifications)
- Providing valuable guidance to patients and families regarding prevention, health, and illness management strategies
- Prescribing treatments and medications aligned with your practice scope
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to promote comprehensive care
- Accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner educational program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license for the state of Michigan
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a relevant specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical knowledge combined with a caring approach to patient interactions
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals
- Flexibility in fast-paced, patient-focused settings
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and comfort with digital care tools
