Role Overview NBBJ Seattle is seeking an Intermediate Designer to work on projects varying from small TI work to full corporate campuses involving client contact and leadership responsibilities. This role includes interiors and architectural design and development work for projects involving construction of the interiors of new buildings, alteration of existing buildings and facilities, and potential larger planning and design efforts. The position will offer the candidate opportunities to grow within the firm and exposure to an innovative, creative, and highly collaborative environment. Responsibilities l: Provide expertise (under high-level guidance) in executing corporate / commercial projects to team members, client, and contractors from early design through construction administrat ionWork with clients to identify objectives and formulate opti onsInterpret and formulate design concepts by collaborating with project team and developing design, documentation, scheduling, and budget ingPrepare contract and permitting documents, applying technical quality, code compliance, and design cont rolLead project engineers to ensure an integrated approach and coordinate project requireme ntsMaintain records to document phases of proj ectCollaborate with architects, interior designers, lighting designers, and all project discipli nesLead the work of other team members, providing mentorship and guia nceMay participate in marketing efforts, including presentati onsWhat you will need to succe Qualifications ed:5 – 10 years of professional experience in interiors and/or the architectural fi eldWell-versed in Corporate markets with experience on small and large scale proje ctsBachelor's or Master’s Deg reeHas or is actively working toward licens ureLEED Accreditation or within 18 months of h ireProficiency in Revit with 3D modeling skills essential; familiarity with Rhino and re-integration into Revit is a p lusDemonstrated knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Exc el)Demonstrated knowledge of Enscape and/or other rendering proces sesAbility to work within a highly collaborative team environm entExcellent communication skills and strong attention to det ailClient presentation skills is benefic ialAbility to work with integrity, trust, and commitment; setting an example for oth ersAbility to travel if the project(s) requi Office & Hybrid Hours This is a full-time position, with expectations to be in-office Monday – Thursday. Core in-office hours during those days are 10am – 3pm, allowing flexibility around travel and family needs. Fridays are hybrid workdays for employees to choose where they work, as coordinated with their project and team. Compensation The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $80,000–$95,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
