Southeast Behavioral Hospital is excited to offer a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Southeast Missouri. Our 102-provides a wide range of mental, emotional and behavioral health services for children, teens, adults and seniors experiencing mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety and co-occurring substance use issues. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, the Cape Girardeau region has long been an area of vibrant commerce and abundance, with significant roots in agriculture and trading posts which produced generations of people full of pride and a determination to put in a hard day's work. Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY:

The Outpatient Therapist performs social services functions to include; assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a clinically related mental health field.

Experience: Program Therapist prefers two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. This time in the field can include practicum and internship studies or work at a mental health institution while an undergraduate.

Licensure: Current LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCAC (license issued by the State of Missouri).

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle With Care and Verbal De-escalation upon hire.
