All of our locations are proud partners of Best One Tire and are Bridgestone Firestone Tire Dealers.We are seeking a qualified commercial tire technician for our location in Galesburg Michigan who values safety and teamwork. Techs will be responsible for removing, installing, rotating, balancing, and performing flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location). Hours requirements are 8a-5p M-F, with willingness to work overtime as needed. If you are enthusiastic about the commercial tire and repair industry, reliable, and have a positive attitude please apply!We offer a full benefit package including; weekly pay, employee discounts, medical, dental, vision, 401K/Match, group life insurance, company paid short term disability and life insurance, paid holidays off, paid time off, free and confidential employee assistance program, paid training, employee uniforms, TIA training opportunities, company picnics/events, branded attire, opportunity for growth, and more!Essential Functions:Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location), performed per TIA Commercial guidelinesSafely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels, using specialized equipmentInspect casings for defectsLocate and seal tire punctures (patch and plug)Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding or sandblastingInspect vehicles using inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisorPerform basic maintenance and repairDrive a service truck to customer locations and road serviceRaise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or air operated floor jacksSafely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to safety tire cages, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticksOperate and maintain diagnostic equipmentRead work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasksPerform general housekeeping dutiesPerform other duties as assignedZolman Tire, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants.
