Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical Unit Med/Surg position requiring an active Oregon RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Surgical Unit of a hospital environment
• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week (0700-1930)
• Floating to other departments required where qualified to perform patient care

Requirements

• Active RN license in the State of Oregon
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum two years of nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• BSN or MSN preferred
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
• CRASE training required if assignment extends beyond 6 months

Additional Information

• Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
• Initiate computerized Plan of Care upon patient admission
• Provide age-specific, culturally sensitive, and psychosocially appropriate patient care
• Support hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures
• Participate in required education programs applicable to the position
