Magnetic Particle Inspector – Level II
Full‐time | Onsite | San Fernando CA area
A growing nondestructive testing facility is seeking a Magnetic Particle Inspector – Level II to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and high‐quality inspection work.Responsibilities
- Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) using wet fluorescent, dry powder, yoke, and bench methods
- Set up, calibrate, and verify MPI equipment
- Interpret indications and evaluate parts against acceptance criteria
- Document inspection results clearly and accurately
- Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure timely processing
- Maintain compliance with customer specifications and industry standards
- Support Level I personnel and uphold safety and procedural requirements
Requirements
- Current MPI Level II certification (ASNT SNT‐TC‐1A, NAS‐410, or equivalent)
- Hands‐on experience performing MPI in aerospace, machining, or metal finishing environments
- Strong understanding of ferromagnetic materials and discontinuity types
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures and customer requirements
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
