Operations Manager

PURPOSE The Operations Manager will lead the establishment and growth of the company's U.S. field operations from our Sealy, Texas office. This is a unique opportunity to build and develop a U.S. installation team while leveraging the established corporate support departments in our Canadian office located in Acheson, Alberta. The Operations Manager will combine foundations industry experience, strong leadership, business insight, and a hands-on approach to field operations to build their field team, deliver projects safely and efficiently, develop customer relationships, and identify opportunities for continued growth. This role offers autonomy and the opportunity to help shape the company's U.S. operations from the ground up. Our office is based in Sealy, Texas, but we are open to remote work with additional travel for this position. DUTIES Operations Participate in field visits, site and office kick-off meetings, progress meetings, site audits of helical pile installation crews and subcontractors, and provide support and direction to all observed activities. Guide field staff in completing required project administration and documentation. Monitor field crew performance, provide feedback, and address performance issues. Review and submit field documentation for invoicing, safety, quality, and payroll requirements. Manage subcontractor performance and commitments related to cost, quality, and schedule. Optimize construction methods, processes, and resources to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Project Management Coordinate the full lifecycle of projects with oversight from estimating, through project management and turnover, including scope, budget, and project requirements. Review contract terms and ensure project execution aligns with contractual requirements. Manage projects to meet contractual, schedule, cost, and performance requirements. Manage contract changes, scope changes, and claims, including cost and schedule impacts and change orders. Business Development Identify and qualify prospective clients and new business opportunities. Develop and maintain client relationships through sales activities, industry events, and client engagement. Develop opportunities and work with internal teams and clients to secure new business. Represent the company through industry associations, customer events, meetings, and presentations. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 10+ years of civil construction experience, helical piling experience is an asset 5+ years in a project management role 5+ years of experience leading a team of 20+ employees EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Post-secondary education in construction management or business Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of industry processes, procedures and best practices Solid understanding of all aspects of foundation installation and complimentary field services WORK ENVIRONMENT Fast paced facility and office in an industry of constant change Travelling away from home for various periods of time #J-18808-Ljbffr Roterra Piling
