Travel Nurse RN - Bone Marrow Transplant - $2,323 per week (Hiring Immediately)

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Bone Marrow Transplant for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Bone Marrow Transplant Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Oncology experience · Chemo certification through ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy immunotherapy Certificate 15.25 contact hours. Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · BMT experience · CAR-T experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Chemotherapy/biotherapy treatment/ blood product administration · Frequent lab draw/ · Cell transplants Best personality Fit: · Detail oriented team player · Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. · Scrub Color - navy ONS/ONCC, TCT exp, No Call Required We need TCT experience and the full (not fundamental) ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification. Just as a reminder, here is our specific chemo administration requirement : ONS link: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate™ | ONS Notice that it is 15.25 contact hours . There is another one offered through ONS that is only 9 contact hours but due to the high volume of chemo we administer, that fundamental certificate will not do. Also, I have attached a snip-it of our policy that explains why we have this requirement of our travelers: POLICY : Special procedures in the ordering, storage, preparation, administration, transport, and disposal of antineoplastic medications are necessary to provide adequate safety to personnel handling these agents. All personnel must adhere to the procedures outlined below. Please refer to HCA CWT division Handling Hazardous Drugs in the Healthcare Setting policy for reference to all hazardous drugs. PROCEDURE: I. Chemotherapy guidelines: A. Chemotherapy shall be prepared only by specially trained pharmacy personnel. B. Only RNs with documented competency and who have successfully completed the ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certificate course may be allowed to administer chemotherapy. C.
