Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: North Austin. This position involves providing caring and professional nursing services within a busy labor and delivery unit. The RN will support the health and well-being of mothers and newborns, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and hospital policies during high-acuity deliveries and related procedures. Job Details Certification requirements: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE, and intermediate fetal monitoring certification. Education and Experience: 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing. Location: North Austin. Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, rotating weekends. Position Duration: 13 weeks, starting on 09/28/2026 and ending on 12/28/2026. Responsibilities include performing obstetric and neonatal assessments, assisting with C-sections, managing fetal monitoring, and providing patient education. Additional Information: Candidates must have experience in Level IV high-volume units, proficiency in internal monitor placement, and the ability to handle procedures such as SVD, cerclages, TOLAC, and C-sections.
