National Sales Manager – HVAC Distribution

Aire Search has been retained by a globally recognised manufacturer of air conditioning equipment and HVAC service parts on the appointment of a National Sales Manager. This is an opportunity for an experienced HVAC sales leader to take ownership of the national distribution strategy, drive revenue growth across wholesale channels, and lead a high-performing sales organisation.

The role will work closely with executive leadership, Regional Sales Managers, independent manufacturer representatives, Operations, Marketing and Product Management to expand distributor relationships, grow dealer and contractor engagement, and deliver aggressive commercial targets across residential and light commercial HVAC markets.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the national sales strategy across HVAC wholesale distributors, independent reps and dealer networks.

Build and maintain executive-level relationships with national, regional and independent HVAC distributor partners.

Negotiate pricing agreements, rebate structures, annual contracts and channel programs.

Lead, mentor and develop Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers and independent rep organisations.

Drive new business development through distributor expansion, contractor engagement and market penetration initiatives.

Own sales forecasting, pipeline reporting and executive-level business reviews.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline; MBA a plus.

Eight or more years' progressive sales leadership experience in the HVAC or HVACR industry.

Minimum five years managing HVAC wholesale distributor channels at a regional or national level.

Proven track record of exceeding growth targets through two-step distribution.

Strong relationships with major HVAC distributors, independent reps and dealer networks.

Experience working for an HVAC manufacturer, ideally within ductless, unitary, light commercial or service parts categories.

Strong commercial acumen across pricing, rebate design, contract negotiation and channel program development.

Bilingual English and Spanish would be highly beneficial given the company's LATAM and Caribbean footprint. The role requires nationwide travel of up to 60 percent, including distributor meetings, customer visits, trade shows and industry events.
