Job Information Location: Hudson, NY Job Id: 556 # of Openings: 1 Position Summary Ed Herrington Inc is currently seeking a full‑time Countertop Fabricator for daytime Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Saturday as needed. Key Responsibilities Build and install countertop surfaces with guidance from the design center, following strict installation guidelines. Maintain equipment and implement a maintenance and replacement program. Aid with the installation of countertop products when required. Schedule sharpening and replacement of bits and blades. Maintain a professional appearance and clear communication with customers, drivers, and staff. Review invoice ticket information for all customers and contractors to ensure proper material selection. Build to best ability, reducing shrinkage where possible. Assist customers in loading purchased materials into their vehicles. Direct customers to additional pickup stations as necessary to complete the order. Prepare delivery orders and stage orders for loading onto delivery vehicles. Maintain weekly tally sheets of broken or damaged products; report to supervisor. Notify supervisor of equipment problems and service needs; keep assigned machines clean. Perform shop maintenance, including unloading deliveries and prepping materials. Collaborate with the design center on turnaround time and material yield. Understand and execute priority of duties; all other tasks are subordinate unless directed. Participate in all required training. Display teamwork and effort in the performance of all duties. Position Requirements Preferred – Candidate with previous experience in countertop fabrication and/or woodworking skills. Required – Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manual dexterity is required to operate machinery and equipment. The employee may need to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, sometimes up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to outside weather, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and loud noise.
