Kitchen PrepAt Mother's Market, Kitchen Preps are key to preparing fresh, delicious meals by chopping vegetables, fruits, and assembling entrees. You'll also help manage leftovers properly to ensure food safety and freshness.Hourly Pay: $16.90 – $20.00Benefits: Medical, dental, vision and life insurance plus great in-store discountsWhat You'll DoPrepare recipes according to the Daily Prep List each shiftEnsure freshness and quality of all prepared foodsPrepare soups, cornbread, biscuits, and refill items as neededProperly store and rotate leftover food to prevent spoilageTest food temperatures at required intervalsFill and maintain the cold line with prepared vegetablesCover for cooks during breaks when necessaryReport any equipment or food quality issues promptly to managementNotify manager immediately of any product shortagesFollow Mother's Market safety and sanitation guidelinesKeep work areas clean and compliant with Health Department regulationsParticipate in all scheduled employee meetingsProvide friendly, helpful customer serviceWhat You BringExperience & Knowledge:Some experience or training in commercial food preparation and serviceUnderstanding of cooking techniques for hot and cold foodsKnowledge of food safety, storage, rotation, and cleaning standardsFamiliarity with commercial kitchen equipmentSkills & Abilities:Able to read, understand, and follow recipes in EnglishBasic math skills to perform food prep calculationsWork accurately in a fast-paced environmentCommunicate clearly with supervisors and coworkersMaintain a clean and safe work environmentAdhere to company standards and health regulationsPhysical RequirementsStand for up to 8 hours at a timePush, carry, and lift equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds, repeatedlyUse carts and dollies to transport product from coolers to workstationsBend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead as neededWork indoors and outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditionsPerform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environmentFollow all health code requirements diligentlySchedule RequirementsMust be available to work flexible shifts as neededWhy Join Mother's Market?Join a company committed to wellness, quality, and community.
