divh2Surgical Technologist/h2pThe Surgical Technologist assists with surgical procedures in the Operating Room as a scrub member of the surgical team under the direction of a registered nurse and a surgeon./ppstrong$15,000 Sign on Bonus/strong/ppstrongJob Summary/strong/ppThe Surgical Technologist assist with surgical procedures in the Operating Room as a scrub member of the surgical team under the direction of a registered nurse and a surgeon./ppstrongEssential Job Functions/strong/pulliDelivers direct and indirect patient care in accordance with hospital/departmental policies, procedures, protocols and other professional standards of care./liliMaintains a collaborative relationship with physicians and other health care providers to achieve desired patient outcomes and assure a continuous flow of patient care./liliParticipates in the unit performance improvement activities designed to enhance the quality of patient care and customer services./liliDemonstrates leadership abilities by utilizing the concepts inherent to the practice of the credo standards./liliAssists in the departments compliance with State, JCAHO, OSHA and other regulatory agencies./liliProvides for patient safety in compliance with hospital and nursing department policies./liliFunctions as the scrub member of the surgical team./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongRequired Qualifications/strong/pulliSuccessful completion of surgical technology program./liliStrong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment./liliStrong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience./li/ulpstrongPreferred Qualifications/strong/pulliOne (1) three (3) years surgical scrub experience preferred./li/ulpstrongLicense, Certification Clearances/strong/pulliCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program (can acquire within six (6) months of hire or transfer in unit)/liliAct 33 with renewal/liliAct 34 with renewal/liliAct 73 FBI Clearance/liliAct 81 Compliance/liliCST Certification preferred./li/ulpstrongSupervisory Responsibilities/strong/pulliThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department./li/ulpstrongPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work/strong/pulliIncumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.)./liliTravel may be expected locally between Excela Health locations./li/ulpstrongLEAN/strong/pulliActively promotes a Lean work culture by performing team member duties to encourage consistent use of LEAN principles and processes, including continually seeking work process improvements.
