Job Summary
The Principal Software Engineer will provide extensive expertise in SAP US Payroll Tax implementation, including complex payroll tax configurations and system integrations. The role will support federal, state, and local tax scenarios, ensure accurate payroll processing and reconciliation, and contribute to critical payroll operations, testing, and production cutover activities. This is an onsite position in Bentonville, Arkansas. Relocation and transfers are acceptable.


Key Responsibilities
• Manage hands-on SAP US Payroll Tax implementation, including configuration for federal, state, and local taxes.
• Configure and support BSI TaxFactory integration.
• Configure and manage reciprocity, unemployment, and resident/work tax scenarios.
• Define and manage tax wage types and their impact on payroll processing, including retroactive calculations.
• Perform payroll tax reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with defined requirements.
• Oversee quarter-end and year-end payroll tax processing activities.
• Support parallel payroll testing and production cutover processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll tax configuration and processing issues.


Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP US Payroll Tax implementation.
• Strong experience configuring federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Hands-on experience with BSI TaxFactory integration and configuration.
• Experience with tax wage types and retroactive payroll calculations.
• Experience with payroll tax reconciliation and validation.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite in Bentonville, Arkansas.
