FLEX Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

This is a temporary position. The assignment duration is through September 6, 2027.JOB SUMMARYAs a FLEX Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Marriott, you will be working on a state of the art React based micro-ui architecture. You will help build the next generation hospitality web portal to assist our customers in traveling the world for work and pleasure. You will work with product owners, UX, back-end engineers and QA engineering to build scalable web software that performs well on all modern web browsers and devices.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and ExperienceRequiredBachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)7+ years’ experience in software design and development with expert-level expertise in multiple programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, Nextjs, ReactjsStrong experience in designing and developing scalable microservices using modern backend frameworks and cloud-native architecturesKnowledge of backend technologies – NodeJS, Java, SQL, NoSQL, Spring boot, KafkaExperience using GraphQL and REST for building robust APIs and service integrationsExperience with Automation, CI/CD, Release Management processes and Application DeploymentsExposure to Agentic GenAI development tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or other toolsExperience in building enterprise-scale web applications using micro front-end architectureExperience in developing software using front-end libraries/frameworks—primarily ReactExperience in customizing webpack configurations and writing custom plugins to bundle code as UMD bundle for isomorphic consumptionStrong knowledge in performance optimization techniques across both front-end and microservice layersExperience in using Jest, Jasmine, Mocha, and JUnit with Mockito for unit and integration testingPreferredExperience in agentic GenAI development tools like Claude, ChatGPT or other toolsExperience with Figma, Adobe Experience Manager or Headless CMS platformsFamiliarity with DevOps & Monitoring tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Harness, and DynatraceDemonstrated UI implementation skills, supported by a portfolio showcasing attention to typography, color, imagery, motion, and graphic elementsProficiency in developing custom reusable components using Atomic Design principlesExperience integrating Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) with React components in both headful and headless architectureBackground in working with multi-repository code basesAbility to write deployment configurationsAwareness of industry developments, best practices, and environments in web application design and developmentStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical ideas in clear business termsCORE WORK ACTIVITIESDevelop and maintain Typescript libraries and platform tools for our React / NextJS applicationsDeep understanding of the cloud-native solution, microservices-architecture, and at least one or more of the following areas: API orchestration architecture, mobile-front end architectureCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-friendly features for all form factorsOptimize applications and services for maximum speed, scalability, and reliabilityEnsure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and propose alternative solutions when neededParticipate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistencyTroubleshoot and debug issues across the stack as they ariseStay up to date with the latest front-end and microservice technologies and best practicesMentor and provide guidance to junior developersCommunicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clientsAt Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
