Employee Benefits Sales Consultant

Reports To:Director of Employee Benefits Contract:Yes FLSA Status:Exempt Pay Grade: Position Description TheStrategic AccountsSales Consultantis responsible foridentifyingnew clients,initiatingnew client relationships, and driving revenue growthin oursmall to mid-sizeemployer market (1-99employees).This position serves as thepointperson in the sales process, managing efforts from prospect to salein order tomeet moderaterevenuegoals. The Sales Consultantis toquarterback all sales efforts, as well as the renewal process for accounts credited to their name. Primary Responsibilities & Duties Achieve new business goals on anannualizedbasis based on our target markets andcross sellingstrategies. Developandmaintaina robust pipeline of qualified prospects in a geographic territory that includes but is not limited to, Western PA, Central PA, West Virginia, and Eastern Ohio Manage the execution of new business contracts. Managelifecycle of salesprocessforemployee benefits insurance prospects Generate leads through prospect research, personal relationships,centers ofinfluence, client referrals, socialselling,and networking. Qualify prospects based on Henderson Brothers sales discovery guidelines Develop and present proposals and lead sales presentations based upon effective discovery and a consultative selling approach Maintainaccuraterecords of sales processes ininternal CRM Seekand strategize cross-sale opportunities from all departments All other duties as assigned Goal Oriented Competitive Driven Delegate Responsibility Networker Integrity : Conducts business with the utmost moral decency. Qualifications 3+years of successfulEmployee Benefitssales experiencerequired Life, Health, and Accidentagencylicenserequiredprior to hire Strong working knowledge ofemployee benefitsinsurance principles and practices Excellent professional communication skills such as listening, speaking, and writing Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks andwork efficiently under pressure Abilityto work effectively in a team atmosphere Proficient in office technology, such as Microsoft Office products Local travel isapproximately 3-4times per week with national travel 3-4 times per year.
