Senior International Freight Forwarder - Ocean & Project Cargo

TransCargo Solutions is hiring a Senior International Freight Forwarder with strong industry experience to take ownership of complex international shipments and key logistics operations.

This is a senior, high-impact role for a proven freight forwarding professional who can operate independently, build strong carrier relationships, and contribute directly to the continued growth of our international business.

The Role

You will manage international freight operations from quotation through final delivery, with a strong focus on ocean freight, international transportation and project logistics .

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing international shipments from start to finish, primarily FCL/LCL ocean freight.
• Requesting, negotiating and analyzing rates with shipping lines, NVOCCs, trucking companies and international partners.
• Preparing competitive customer quotations and logistics solutions.
• Coordinating bookings, documentation, origin operations and final delivery.
• Working directly with overseas agents, carriers, terminals, warehouses and transportation providers.
• Managing Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists and other international shipping documentation.
• Advising on Incoterms and international transportation solutions.
• Supporting complex and time-sensitive shipments.
• Working closely with our commercial team on new opportunities and major customer accounts.
• Developing strong long-term relationships with carriers and logistics partners.

Who We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

• 5+ years of freight forwarding experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with international ocean freight.
• Experience negotiating freight rates and preparing customer quotations.
• Good knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping documentation.
• The ability to independently manage multiple shipments and priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Professional English.

Spanish is highly valued.

Experience with Project Cargo, renewable energy, oversized cargo, air freight, trucking, CargoWise or U.S. Customs procedures will be considered a strong advantage.
