Shape young lives while making a tangible impact as a School Social Worker in a supporting educational environment. This role calls for a dedicated professional to provide essential social-emotional support and behavior intervention services to both general education and special education students. Working onsite, you’ll nurture student success and collaborate closely with school staff, administrators, and families to deliver comprehensive support.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work
• Valid Michigan state licensure as a Social Worker
• Direct experience supporting K-12 students within a school setting
• Demonstrated strengths in clinical assessment and intervention
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Core Responsibilities:

• Serve as the 504 Plan Coordinator, managing accommodations and collaborating with staff and families as needed
• Provide social-emotional counseling and implement behavior intervention strategies for diverse student populations
• Participate in team meetings, support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and help foster a positive school climate
• Act as a liaison between students, families, and community resources to connect individuals with additional support services as appropriate
• Maintain thorough documentation of interventions, assessments, and outcomes
• Deliver direct services according to school calendar and schedule
