Forklift Material Handler

Forklift Material HandlerPGS Worldwide is seeking a Forklift Material Handler in Greenville, SC for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.The Forklift Material Handler will safely move assets and materials throughout the facility using forklifts, tugs, trailers, and other material-handling equipment. This role includes processing movement requests through an asset-management system, scanning materials to maintain accurate tracking records, and ensuring items are relocated without damage.Required SkillsBachelor's degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or master's degree with up to 3 years of relevant experience.Forklift or lift-equipment operating experience.Ability to safely move materials and assets throughout a facility.Ability to use scanners to track and document material movements.Ability to receive, process, and close material-movement requests in an asset-management system.Ability to walk throughout the workday.Ability to lift and move materials as required.Strong attention to detail.Customer-service skills.Ability to follow established safety and material-handling procedures.Ability to work independently and coordinate with internal personnel.Preferred SkillsTrailer or tug operating experience.1–2 years of lift-equipment operating experience.1–2 years of customer-service experience.Experience using computerized asset-management or material-tracking systems.What You'll DoMove assets and materials safely throughout the facility.Prevent damage to materials during handling and transportation.Review and complete material-movement requests.Operate forklifts, tugs, trailers, and other equipment as assigned.Use handheld scanners to record material movements.Update asset-management records accurately.Transport materials to designated production, storage, or staging areas.Coordinate material movement with internal customers and facility personnel.Inspect equipment and work areas for potential safety issues.Support additional material-handling activities as assigned.Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hourJob ID: 22309Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
