Overview The role focuses on building rapport with collectors in DICK’S Sporting Goods Collectors Clubhouse, delivering an outstanding store experience and supporting inventory and merchandising tasks. Responsibilities Build rapport within the collector community, specifically with other collectors of all genres and levels. Meet athletes where they are in their collecting journey, creating a tailored and unparalleled service experience. Engage in selling and service behaviors by greeting athletes, providing accessories, sharing product knowledge, and maintaining an outstanding store experience. Follow market trends, local events, and social media awareness to engage athletes inside and outside the store. Understand what impacts card values such as condition, demand, and rarity. Use inventory movement apps such as StockIt, ReceiveIt, and the SIM dashboard to accurately manage on‑hand and inbound inventory. Manage and action Homeplate tasks, including coordinating new product launches. Ensure visual merchandising and presentation standards are executed by following established clubhouse sets, signing requirements, price changes, replenishment, recovery processes, and in‑stock standards. Leverage data analysis to identify sales trends, top sellers, and opportunities in the Collectors Clubhouse. Adjust visuals based on market trends (moving products seasonally). Leverage industry expertise to explain why certain items are better suited for specific athletes and align needs to appropriate products. Adapt sales style and use in‑store technology to gather insights that inform recommendations. Promote an in‑store experience by encouraging athletes to "Rip" cards within the Collectors Clubhouse. Act as a trusted advisor of card collecting within the community. Communicate Collector’s Clubhouse policies and procedures with all athletes. Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures. Maintain confidentiality of all company information. Comply with all workplace safety programs. Attend onsite and offsite training (e.g., University series) to gain additional selling skills and knowledge. Support the team with store‑related events. Perform other tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent level of experience. 1–3 years of experience as an active card collector. Targeted pay range: $16.00–$23.00 per hour (may vary based on location, experience, and position). Exceeds applicable minimum wage for the job location.
