Material Handler 1

Roles & Responsibilities

Process customer orders: scan barcodes, pick and label boxes, pick and pack orders
Process orders through RF technology and complete required RF device training
Maintain acceptable work area per SOP and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Palletize orders, including scanning, retrieving, and placing completed orders on pallets
Re-palletize products for shipment and verify shipment accuracy/packaging
Perform dock manifest duties, including scanning pallets and operating shrink wrap equipment
Transport pallets using walking material handling equipment (MHE)
Maintain current status in required training modules
Follow safety instructions and report injuries, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Cross-train in other warehouse positions and act as backup during absences

Experience Required

1 to 3 years of relevant experience
Minimum 6 months of previous forklift driving experience required (no exceptions)
Previous experience driving a Stand-Up Forklift preferred
Experience with Walkie Rider (motorized pallet jack) preferred

Skills & Certifications

Forklift driving (Stand-Up preferred)
Ability to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision
Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
General distribution knowledge

Eligibilities & qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or 1 year of relevant experience required
Must pass eye exam
Must complete 10-panel drug screening within 48 hours of offer acceptance
Background check must be cleared (may start with background pending)
Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Comfortable working near moving mechanical equipment
