Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Respiratory Unit experience worked in the last 4 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• No current placement allowed at Program: FlexCare Partner Network Program - Adventist Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of recent critical care experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Three years’ technical experience preferred.

Preferred Credentials: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. Master’s degree preferred.

Special Requests: Usually blocked scheduling. Prefer no RTO.

Unit Details: Provides basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include aerosol and oxygen therapy, arterial blood gases, ventilator care, pulmonary function tests, drainage procedures, cardiorespiratory rehabilitation, and assisting physicians with bronchoscopies and specialty procedures. Uses Cerner and Omnicell. Intensivist support via telehealth; hospitalist coverage 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: No call. Every other weekend. No set days of the week; scheduled as needed. May need occasional help with night coverage, very rare.

Floating Requirements: You may be required to float between Howard and Ukiah and to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• Pediatric Advanced Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)
