- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
- Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to establish seamless, cohesive treatment strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond clinical sessions.
- Partake in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a continuous care experience.
- Maintain meticulous documentation aligned with state, federal, and organization standards in a timely manner.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the speech-language pathology field through education and collaboration.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if yet to attain ASHA certification.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse age groups, along with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adeptness at customizing therapy techniques to cater to varied cultural and linguistic needs.
