Role Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to establish seamless, cohesive treatment strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Partake in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a continuous care experience.
• Maintain meticulous documentation aligned with state, federal, and organization standards in a timely manner.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the speech-language pathology field through education and collaboration.

Educational Requirements

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if yet to attain ASHA certification.

Certifications Required

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
